Dr. Guerra earned his undergraduate degree in Physiology, with a minor in Spanish from the University of Arizona and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.

Dr. Guerra completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. He then went on to complete his fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Guerra is board certified by the American Board of Surgeons and speaks Spanish fluently
