SMC Receives Survey Results

On April 16, Lara Brooks and Rod Hargrave, both of Oklahoma State University (OSU), were in Alva to present the findings of the recent community survey for Share Medical Center (SMC). Approximately 20 community members were on hand for the presentation. This survey was the second step in SMC's Community Health Needs Assessment, an integral process for determining future strategies and services for the medical center. NWOSU Students Volunteer at SMC

NWOSU Students Volunteer at SMCNWOSU students, Dylan, Hannah, and Brennen, assisted Share Medical Center with landscaping last week as part of their Ranger Connection class at NWOSU. Students are required to perform community service as a requirement for this class. The three NWOSU students cleaned the flower beds and planted bushes at the Share Medical Center sign near highway 281 south as part of the SMC volunteer beautification effort.

As part of Share Medical Center's engagement with Oklahoma State University to complete the Community Health Needs Assessment, the two entities have been working together to provide data on a number of economic indicators from jobs to salaries, and many other health sector factors contributing to the local and regional economy.

Ms. Pruitt is now accepting appointments and will provide general medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages.
