Foundation donor wall installed at Share Medical Center; signage/gallery to follow
Over the weekend, Share Medical Center (SMC) installed its Foundation donor wall showcasing donors who have given to the Medical Center, Convalescent Home and Homestead.

“Our supporters have been so generous! We’re excited to be able to honor our caring supporters in this way,” says Kelly Parker, SMC Foundation director.
The donor wall consists of a panoramic photo of a windmill in a field set on five panels. The names of the donors are listed on the panels under the appropriate giving level.
“Just as much as honoring those who have already made caring contributions, we are hopeful others will be inspired to do the same when they see what their friends and neighbors have contributed,” stated Terry Cline, foundation board chairman.
“What an inspiring asset to our facility to see the names of those who have cared enough to provide for our medical center and facilities. It will be a constant reminder to all those who work at Share Medical Center that we are here to serve the public,” says Kandice Allen, chief executive officer.
This is the first step in adding artwork to Share Medical Center. The plan is to bring new art inspired signage to the building as well as a gallery for local artists to display their works of art, says Parker.
“The beautification of our campus with artwork can help calm nerves when patients and families are rattled by their situation. It can offer a positive distraction to those filled with worry. Artwork can certainly be a jewel in the crown of our medical center that the community, through the SMC Foundation, has supported so well, says Parker.
“There are many aspects of healing that traditional medicine isn’t the only answer. A person’s positive attitude, outlook, and sense of hope are a powerful tool in the healing process.”
