Celebrating nursing home week Hawaiian style
Residents of the Share Convalescent Home celebrated National Nursing Home week with a Hawaiian dinner on Thursday, May 15. The menu included Hawaiian chicken, seasoned rice, carrot-orange salad, Hawaiian rolls, and coconut cake. Edible centerpieces were made from halved pineapples filled with berries, cantaloupe, and grapes. The dining room was decorated with palm trees, fish and parrots and each resident received a lei to wear to dinner.

“The residents had a great time,” said Jane Gaskill, Share Convalescent Home director.
“Thank you to the family members of the residents for attending the event. Several family members and residents said they enjoyed themselves and loved the food,” said April Rinkines, activities director.
